Meet The Artist x Showtime419

Rap artist, manager, writer and the list goes on. Showtime419 is what he calls himself. Representing from Alexandria Va, he’s been chasing his dreams since he was 15. Growing up, Showtime watched his father in the church choir, he later started to develop an interest saying that music was his getaway. He started at 15, writing in his journal and remixing songs. He then transitioned from listening to mostly gospel to venturing into hip hop, r&b and other genres. As he started listening to hip hop more, he says he grabbed inspiration from artists such as Meek Mill, Shy Glizzy and Lil Durk.

Showtime has shown that he’s not only an artist, but also a manager and role model. He started his own management label called Chasing Dreams Management, in which he’s guided a talent named Angel. Starting only 3 months ago his label has grown and Showtime tells me soon, he’ll be seeking more artists to manage. He explains that why he started managing saying that some people are just starting and are in need someone that could help guide them, someone that shows them the industry and how to grow. Proving that anything can happen if you put your mind to it, Showtime has had a lot of life lessons that he said, has changed him for the better. “Being away makes you realize that the way you react to some situations or how you dealt with it, just wasn’t worth the consequence in the end.” He claims that 2017 will be full of surprises and growth. We would definitely be expecting more visuals to add on to hits like “Life on the Line” and “Money Charges” (Which you can find on YouTube) and hopefully see him participating in more showcase events! Not only is he here to bless us with his music, he’s also a supporter of other Alexandria artists. “Everyone tells their story through rapping differently, everyone goes through their own trials and it makes for different songs.”
