Meet the Artist: LUKEY D

Artist Name: Luke Dodson aka “Bugatti Elroy”

February 3, 1995;

Hometown: Manassas VA

This young hungry artist started in 2009. His original goal was to be “the most legendary emcee to ever hail from Virginia!” he said. Luke’s flow isn’t your average sound/concept. Where does he pull all this inspiration from? Big L, Nas and DMX are just a few names off his list. He’s spent about 6 years perfecting his crafts which include producing/lyricist and freestyling. Lukey D released a mixtape by the name of “Stick to da Roots” in April of 2014, and is currently working on his debut album tittled “The Joint Project” set to release by the end of this year or early 2017.  In August of 2015, Luke followed up his mixtape with the release of the 1st episode of the #SundayNightSpecial series, a project in which he remixed 3 beats he liked and meshed them into 1 song. Following the first episode of Sunday Night Special, he came up with an idea of combining the hip hop and anime cultures together, creating a project by the name of SacrificetheEP. Lukey must’ve been in the studio working hard because following October 2015, he released the first single off his debut album (The Joint Project) called, “iLLustrious” followed by his second single “Range” in November. He let all his music settle and released his third single “Cat Piss” in April of 2016. Luke never forgot about his Sunday Night Special and released his new second episode in February 2016 and the third and most recent release in September 2016.
